The lure of exploring sunken vessels is something most divers cannot resist. Sunken wrecks have a mystique all of their own engendering a sense of history as well as being a haven for many marine creatures. The PADI Wreck Diver Specialty course introduces you to wreck diving and helps you develop the skills and knowledge necessary for safe and fun wreck diving.
To enroll in a Wreck Diver course you must be over 15 years of age, be certified as a PADI Adventure Diver (or equivalent) and fill in and sign a medical statement.
The course is structured in two parts.
You receive a manual and video which you study at your leisure before spending an evening at our purpose built dive centre in London. Here you are taught wreck diving theory in our state of the art classrooms.
You then need to complete four open water dives. This is done over two days at Portland in Dorset (weather permitting) or Stoney Cove.
The cost for the course is £179 which includes manual, video, emblem (given upon certification), tuition, equipment*, one air fill and certification.
If you complete the course on one of our holidays the cost is £119.
Not included are accommodation, transport to the dive site and entry or boat fees which are payable locally.
* For all courses subsequent to entry level you must provide your own basic equipment of mask, fins, snorkel, wet suit boots and gloves if required. For the Wreck Speciality course you will also need to provide an underwater timing device.
