Ever wanted to take the leg work out of diving ? Try a DPV !
Using a DPV (Diver Propulsion Vehicle) provides a fun and different way to expand your diving experiences. On the PADI DPV Specialty course you will learn about the techniques, equipment and planning procedures needed to safely dive with a DPV.
To enroll in a DPV course you must be over 12 years of age, be certified as a PADI Open Water Diver, PADI Junior Open Water Diver (or equivalent) and fill in and sign a medical statement. Having PADI Deep Diver certification is also highly recommended.
The course is structured in two parts.
You need to read the DPV section in the Adventures in Diving manual and fill in the knowledge reviews.
You then need to complete two open water dives. This is done in one day at Portland in Dorset (weather permitting) or Wraysbury, our local training location.
The cost for the course is £129 which includes the Adventures in Diving Manual, tuition, equipment*, one air fill and certification.
If you complete the course on one of our holidays the cost is £90.
Not included are transport to the dive site, accommodation and entry or boat fees which are payable locally.
* For all courses subsequent to entry level you must provide your own basic equipment of mask, fins, snorkel, wet suit boots and gloves if required. For the Deep Diver Speciality you must also provide an underwater timing device.
